The Club is conducting a survey about our members’ involvement, participation, opinions and wishes related to the Beaver Valley Ski Club.  We would like an adult member of your household to complete this survey.  The survey can be completed online by clicking on the link below.

BEFORE GOING TO THE SURVEY, PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING:

• The survey should be conducted by an adult member of your household.

·         This person will be asked to provide information for all household members.

·         Therefore, it would be good to conduct the survey with other household members present or to have discussed questionnaire content (see below) with them before hand.

·         The length of the survey will vary by household; however, it will probably take about 20 to 25 minutes to complete.

·         You need to complete the survey in one session - you cannot close it and come back to complete it later.  If you have to end your session before completing the questionnaire, you can go back to the link later, but will have to start at the beginning again.

·         Activities and programs participated in by each member of your household last winter season.

·         Evaluation of programs participated in by each household member for:

·         Quality of instruction/coaching provided

You will find information below regarding our Flying Beavers summer ramp camps. The goal of these camps is to promote skill development in jumping for freeskiers of all abilities. Water ramps are a perfect place to hone skills, learn new tricks and start down the path of qualifying inverts for competition. Coached by CFSA certified air qualified coaches and run by Beaver Valley Ski club, these summer ramp camps are a unique experience for participants. New for this summer, we are using VIA rail for transportation from Union Station to Quebec City return, and Vans for local travel. Participants will stay in our rented house at the base of scenic Stoneham ski area, and will spend days at the ACROBATX facility in Lac Beauport. May 1^st: We need some hands to help on the Annual Beautification Day at Beaver Valley.   The Club has a number of tasks underway including continuing cleaning out some gladed areas, as well as some general clean up around the trails.   We will meet at 8:45am and a Bar B Q lunch will be served at noon.   Please RSVP to mail@beavervalley.ca

June 12^th: The 4^th Annual Golf Tournament will be at Highland Glen Golf Club in Priceville.  Shot gun start at 1pm, price includes the afternoon of golfing, cart, contests on the course and dinner back at the Club.  NEW this year, we are happy to provide opportunities for our younger members to have some fun as well.  Dry Land Training and Camp Kumnwanaplay will be starting at 12pm at the Main Clubhouse, will have several different activities for children ages 5-12 years and run until 6:30 so they can join their parents for dinner.  Price includes lunch, snack and dinner.

The Beaver Valley Ski Club Cookbook! We want submissions from every family! That’s right! Do you have a great salad, delicious soup, fire rocket chilli? Make sure you submit your favourite recipes for the following categories. Appetizers & Beverages, Soups & Salads, Vegetables & Side Dishes, Main Dishes, Breads, Loaves & Muffins, Cakes & Deserts, Cookies Bars & Candy. Anything else? Send them to cookbook@beavervalley.ca The goal is to have the cook book available for sale in September with proceeds going to the South Beach House.

All this makes it pretty clear that Beaver Valley is planning to be a part of a sustainable future!  On March 10th, the Sustainability Committee hosted a Staff Sustainability Workshop where 26 BVSC employees participated in identifying the good stuff and the not-so-good stuff that Beaver Valley is doing to work towards a Sustainable Society.  All of the participant input will be included in a baseline report being created by the Sustainability committee this spring, to be shared with management and used to guide the next steps.  We will keep you updated with the process and exciting changes that emerge.  If you have any questions, please email sustainability@beavervalley.ca
