Saturday, May 1st, 2010

Dear BVSC Member,

The Club is conducting a survey about our members’ involvement, participation, opinions and wishes related to the Beaver Valley Ski Club.  We would like an adult member of your household to complete this survey.  The survey can be completed online by clicking on the link below.

BEFORE GOING TO THE SURVEY, PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING:

  • The survey should be conducted by an adult member of your household.

·         This person will be asked to provide information for all household members.

·         Therefore, it would be good to conduct the survey with other household members present or to have discussed questionnaire content (see below) with them before hand.

·         The length of the survey will vary by household; however, it will probably take about 20 to 25 minutes to complete.

·         You need to complete the survey in one session - you cannot close it and come back to complete it later.  If you have to end your session before completing the questionnaire, you can go back to the link later, but will have to start at the beginning again.

Questionnaire Content

·         Activities and programs participated in by each member of your household last winter season.

·         Evaluation of programs participated in by each household member for:

·         Skill development provided

June 12th: The 4th Annual Golf Tournament will be at Highland Glen Golf Club in Priceville.  Shot gun start at 1pm, price includes the afternoon of golfing, cart, contests on the course and dinner back at the Club.  NEW this year, we are happy to provide opportunities for our younger members to have some fun as well.  Dry Land Training and Camp Kumnwanaplay will be starting at 12pm at the Main Clubhouse, will have several different activities for children ages 5-12 years and run until 6:30 so they can join their parents for dinner.  Price includes lunch, snack and dinner.

Racing Update

Friday, February 5th, 2010

The racing program has been running full steam ahead and has been enjoying many successes at our race events.  We have had BV kids on the podium at every level.  The program is moving ahead and  we  believe that the kids are really making the difference in their dedication and motivation.

We have had many great training opportunities and will continue to take advantage of the excellent hills we have at the club to give our racers the confidence and skill set to keep them competitive and motivated.  Thanks for all of the positive feedback we have received in the past month, it goes a long way to justify the training space  the program needs and ensures  the needs of the whole membership are met.  Please keep the feedback coming, positive as well as constructive, as this is what help us to get better and keeps us on track to achieving our goals.

Our traveling teams have been doing great and taking advantage of the change in scenery to get some valuable free skiing  on  new and exciting  terrain.  Our Nancy Greene Development group travelled to Craigleith recently , and We will be hosting  their  Development group on February 20th for a fun day at the club.

The kids are the ones making this program what it is and lets make sure they know it!   We  love seeing their dedication the the Beaver Valley Racing Program!
